Secret Santa & Simple Healing with Ellie
We are having an evening which focuses on wellbeing and the importance of looking after you. We will exchange our Secret Santa gifts (of upcycled, re-gifted or crafted gifts) and also meet Ellie from Simple Healing. Ellie will talk to us about alternative therapies and all about her love of crystals. You can find out more about Ellie on her Facebook page.

From fuddy duddy to fun! Guest Speaker: Lynn Dunning
Join us for our February meeting with the fabulous Lynn Dunning. Lynn is the Head of Museums and Galleries in Barnsley. In this talk she will talk about how she changed Barnsley Museums for the better, from traditional and a bit fuddy duddy to fun, family friendly spaces which can be enjoyed by all. Votes for WomenÂ
Guest Speaker: Eric Jackson
This month join us for a talk about Votes for Women and the women's suffrage movement. Our guest speaker Eric Jackson will talk about the story of the Suffragettes and Suffragists and their struggle for emancipation from 1865 to 1928. He will also include an account of Emily Wilding Davison's death in the 1913 Epsom Derby and a pen-picture of some of the leading protagonists.

Grow Your Own
Guest Speaker: Aaron Hickman
Aaron Hickman, Horticultural Advisor for the National Allotment Society, and orchid specialist will be giving a talk on ‘growing your own’ fruit and veg in any space, with a question and answer session for those of us who can’t keep a cactus alive! Visit to a Local Cultural Attraction (exact venue TBC)
Visit to a local Cultural attraction and what better way to find out about behind the scenes than with a tour from the staff who keep our attractions open and vibrant for all generations.

Themed Afternoon (or Evening Tea!)
We are working with a local tearoom, a rather special one, to bring you a themed evening tea party meeting, there may be fancy dress involved, so watch this space for exciting news (or check out our Facebook Page)

Christmas Craft
Last year we all decorated a star, as a challenge, using whatever was to hand. With some spectacular results and lots of fun and laughter. There may have been gin involved and a mince pie or too, oh and some exceptional gingerbread. A traditional Christmas celebration.
